My top 5 finance YouTubers.
Just a quick midweek post on my top finance YouTubers.
Just a quick midweek post on my top finance YouTubers. Now obviously what they provide is not financial advice as it isn't tailored to the individual but I do find that they offer insightful and valuable content from investing to pensions and savings to global economics.
Richard who fronts The Plain Bagel resides in Canada and apart from having a brilliant name he hosts educational videos looking at investments, personal finance and economics. He has some fun history videos regarding financial crises and is great at explaining issues in the USA such as the recent collapse of Silicon Valley Bank.
Ramin is a former investment banker who provides excellent investing information for the UK and the global economy. Alongside the YouTube videos, Pension Craft provides courses and coaching (paid and free resources) for both beginners and experienced investors alike. On the first Thursday of each month he also hosts a Live Q&A session.
Patrick takes on a good range of subjects and makes them easy to understand from the state of current markets to FTX collapsing, crypto, fraud and currency. His videos have some fantastic dry humour whilst also being engaging and educational with a level of financial journalism that beats the mainstream. This channel is the one I subscribed to most recently, I had definitely been missing out!
James is a financial planner who I would say specialises in pensions and retirement but he also offers his thoughts on investing and wider economic issues. There have been a couple of occasions where for example I have thought about changing my portfolio only to watch one of James videos and realise I was making a mistake. The quality of his content deserves far more subs on YouTube so I would definitely recommend a follow!
Damien regularly posts insightful videos on UK economics and investing, including looking at UK ISAs, budgeting and how to get out of debt. His advice builds on his own experiences and what he wishes he could have told himself ten years ago. The content is informative, often with a touch of humour and sometimes with his cat Cobweb. He has also started an excellent Podcast recently interviewing well known people within the industry - you can subscribe to Making Money and Damien Talks Money for a double personal finance whammy!
