It's one thing to read a book/article or watch an informative video but I want to see what happens if you start actually applying what you learn. On that basis, I aim to start writing about how I am putting into practice lessons from the books I have read to see if they can have an impact on my life whether that is positive or negative. Hopefully, these will be quarterly providing an update on previous guidance followed and what new advice I will try to follow.

The first article in this series will be based on the books 'Show your work' by Austin Kleon, 'Stolen Focus' by Johann Hari and 'The Richest Man in Babylon' by George S. Clason. 'Show your work' was the book that encouraged me to start this website in the first place and commence my journey in content creation.

The aim of the series is to cover how I can apply what I have learnt from personal finance to creativity, psychology and the brain to inspirational leadership and the formation of habits. I hope to take something from every book that I read and see what effect it has and then provide an overall review each year to see whether there are any lessons learnt that I want to keep persevering with or ones which I feel just were not working for me.

Hopefully, the articles may be of use to somebody; either because they are looking to make similar changes in their lives and want to see what experiences other people have had or just to get an idea as to whether a particular book may be worth them reading.
